Acts 3:12-26
We tend to shy away from mentioning the horror of the cross and JESUS the CHRIST upon it when speaking to others. We don't usually point to someone and tell them that it was their doing that put HIM there.
When someone marvels at a miracle we often feel it is a better way to glorify GOD by focusing on the grace and beauty of HIS existence. We live in a society that feeds on the positive, they do not want to be told that they are at fault for any negative occurrence. Many live never taking responsibility for their actions if they have a negative outcome.
I hear repeatedly how GOD is so good that HE wouldn't hurt good people. Good people go to heaven. And after a tragedy many ask whey HE would allow so many innocent people suffer. We have to be effective in this society. We have to learn how to win lost souls in the society we live in.
Peter did just that. The death of JESUS was still on the minds of many. The rumors of who HE was were still on their lips. Peter knew that the best way to reach them was to speak to the rumors and the active searching minds. He found any way possible to bring up the subject and tie it in to the gospel.
My challenge is to find the most effective way to witness and do it loudly. So it is unmistakably GOD in me. I don't mean to be obnoxious. I mean to be without a doubt a CHRIST follower.
