Vaccines and Autism

Please read this article. I still vaccinate the kids as GOD has told me that HE wants me to do it. I know that some of you may not understand that, but let me put it this way. What is wrong for you may not be wrong for me. GOD has actually told me to continue and HE will protect us from harm from the possible side effects. And it really doesn't matter to me what happens HE will be glorified no matter what. But I have always felt uneasy about vaccinations. This article makes some good points.

By the way I will not be getting Gardasil for the girls.

Sorry, but the article is wrong.

T's been dx'd with autism since 2k5. I've read numerous reports since then. I have access to the MSU library's resources. T has serious autism. as in nonverbal, not potty trained, and regressed at 15 months from an advanced child to one that was severely behind. Many of these people that push the vaccine issue are not happy with the children God gave them. I am. God has used him to teach me so much. To make me so much more open minded. All this nonsense about vaccines takes away from research into real treatments, that will help kids like Tristan. If a reaction to vaccines caused autism, it's in less than 1/30,000 vaccines. because the cdc posts reactions that rare. It'd be in so few a number that it'd be difficult to detect. A city in Japan recently split up the MMR. They followed 30000 children. There was no change in autism rates.

All of the very few studies that show a correlation are flawed. One recent study of MMR copied the 1998 study, used one of the same labs, and could find no correlation.

T's behavior has improved since his most recent MMR.

The only childhood vaccines with thimerosal in the US are flu shots. He also had his flu shot at the same time he got the aforementioned mmr. He did not get worse.

only those with histories of sensitivities and immunological diseases or other health problems should consider not vaccinating or spreading it out.

Not vaccinating puts those kids not healthy enough to get vaccinated at risk of death. It puts other kids at a lower risk of death.

And for the record, I got Lola gardasil. as in last month. because there's no guarantee whoever she marries won't give her hpv, and you can get the first shot as young as 9, can space it out as much as you want, and it's more effective started at 9 than it is at 12.

Parents should follow what they feel and they should never encourage other parents not to vaccinate.

I agree not to encourage anyone not to vaccinate. I believe that it should be a personal decision between you, GOD, and your family. I will never tell my friends not to do what GOD is leading them to. HE did however say that I should not at this time plan on the Gardasil. DD1 is only 5 so I have time to see if there is any issues with that vaccine that were not originally noticed.
